Navigating Life in These Days and Times - 2020

Every person on earth is uniquely designed.

Every person on earth is uniquely designed.

Every person on earth is uniquely designed. In much the same way that no snowflake is alike, we too are differentiated from each other at levels that are nearly impossible to grasp. Our differences can easily be seen across the human spectrum, from how we worship, to what we eat, who we love, how we dress … and even down to things as simple as the music we listen to or the profession we engage in.

I have been practicing and studying Human Design for nearly seven years and it has come to serve me well during these days and times of the pandemic. Using the simple tools of Human Design has helped me navigate the challenges of COVID-19 far better than I would have ever thought possible. A personal evolution for sure, I have learned the deep value of surrender as I have come to accept that I have no control over how the virus grows or the circumstances it creates, even as I grieve the loss of life and devastation felt by so many.

As I choose to remain sheltered and respect distancing, I feel saddened by the separation from our children and grandchildren. We feel what we feel, heh? We are, after all, complex beings with a vast array of seeing and processing life from different points of view. To feel what I feel without judging myself (or needing to fix anything) has become an incredibly freeing experience as I face challenges or am faced with hard decisions that my mind tries to talk me out of. I have always been in awe of those who appear to walk through misfortune with grace, even dignity. I have always envied their confidence and rationality. I now experience my own version of that kind of grace, even as my own frustration gets the best of me at times. I have learned to simply wait it out.

Before my experiment with Human Design, I suffered the vagaries of wanting to be anyone but me. I went along with others, reshaping my likes, dislikes, and opinions, in order to be loved and accepted. Currently, needing to be loved and/or accepted by anyone could prove to be to our personal detriment. Absent this kind of pressure, I feel an inner healing penetrating me at the deepest level of my psyche with each passing day, realizing I never had to do that nor will I ever have to do it again. I am grateful for the growing comfort of living in my own skin, for letting go of needing another’s approval. I feel safer, trusting in my ability to respond to life according to my own inner nature.

Human Design’s Science of Differentiation offers empirical information that, when understood and applied, will potentially help each person navigate their environment through a deep personal connection to their uniqueness, even amid a pandemic. I am now clearly committed to live out my life in my unique, beautiful way, something each of us is entitled to do. In all my time practicing and studying the science of HD, I have yet to be misled or disappointed.

People ask me, “What has Human Design done for you?” My response is simple. It has given me permission to live my life according to my own authority and to love who I am without apology. The deep love of self is truly the only way we can ever love or accept another.

Human Design is not a belief system. It is not for everyone, but if it calls to you it is something to experiment with on a day-in, day-out basis. If you’re interested, please contact me. If you prefer to explore on your own, please visit www.jovianarchive.com and/or www.ihdschool.com, (official Human Design websites) for information. I would not encourage Google searches as they can lead to individuals and/or organizations misrepresenting Human Design concepts. As a purist, I find the direct source to be the most reliable.

Wishing you wellness, safety and above all, a deep love for your precious, beautiful self.
